DIY 8 stack injection system (Track day Manafold)

I decided to make a track day manifold for my XR8 tickford. So I drew up all the manifold plates and had them lazer cut this saved an enormous amount of time in the good old days (after Dinosaur's and before TV) we used to drill and oxy cut 3/8" plate and spend hours grinding and filing to finish the plates there is none of that with lazer cut parts, but you must be accurate with your drawings and measurements.

I obtained 8 x 38mm throttle body's of the Internet they had to be modified and have some appendages removed but they worked out just fine. The manifold was tacked together and very slowly welded 1/2" at a time to avoid warping and it worked fine, only minimum grinding was required to the manifold head faces to be perfect. You will notice I have incorporated a common vacuum manifold up the centre to accomodate MAP, IdleCS, and fuel pressure regulator attachment points.I will be installing an EZEFI Modular self tune ECU (as used by Inglese 8 stack system) http://www.ezefi.com/ I had a lot of fun making this system and look forward to the challenge of making it run properly for track days,

  1. What a crazy idea. This is a conversion that has been deemed impossible since unibody construction became the norm.
